ADB President:

Takehiko Nakao is the current president of Asian development bank. Takehiko Nakao is a Japanese civil servent who Joined Finance Ministry of Japan in 1978.

ADB Member Countries:

 Initially there were 31 members which extended to 67 members with time. These 67 member countries belong to different regions,  48 are from within Asia and the Pacific and 19 outside. Most of these are developing nations. The Headquarters of Asian development bank is situated at Mandaluyong, Metro Manila, Philippines. Meetings of the Board of Governors, the Board of Directors or any of their Committees or sub-groups or any other meeting convened by the Bank may be held at headquarters.

Asian development Bank Latest News:

  •  Takehiko Nakao has been reelected as president of Asian development bank for another 5 years. He is unanimously re-elected by Board of Governors as President of ADB for a further 5 years beginning on 24 November 2016.

    In his first term, he was elected as President by the Board of Governors on 28 April 2013 for 3 and a half years. He completed this remaining term of previous ADB president Haruhiko Kuroda.
  •  Asian Development Bank President Takehiko Nakao met with the President of Palau, Tommy E. Remengesau, Jr. and the Minister for Finance and ADB Governor, Elbuchel Sadang, to discuss assistance required to solve infrastructure problem in the country.

Currently there is a staff of 2997 employees in ADB. Unlike Bank recruitment exams the selection is based on interviews. The appointment is for fixed term of 3 years which may be extended or converted to regular employment given satisfactory performance and the continued need for particular skills.
